Action for Children has an event on Sunday July 17 and they are looking for as many volunteers as possible.

The event is called FestivAll – a day full of music and live entertainment – all in the spirit of inclusivity.

FestivAll tries to redress the balance in making an event that is totally inclusive and accessible.

It features a chill-out zone (for those needing a calmer place, with bean bags, ear defenders and sensory activities) plus fully inclusive accessible flooring, toilets and other essentials to make the day as seamlessly enjoyable as possible.

But all the elements of a music festival exist – music and live entertainment; food and refreshments; face painting and candy floss and ice cream!

Says Senior Events Officer, Leighanne Sullivan:

“FestivAll is more than just music. It’s an open community event with the needs of children and young people with accessibility needs at its heart.”

A rotation system will be in place so that volunteers move around and use different skills throughout the day.

Volunteer activities include:

· Car park marshalling

· staffing stalls

· stage hand/runner

· crowd control and helping with children’s activities.

Festivall is in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, from 12pm on July 17.
