Virtual Event Manager: job specification

OVERVIEW

A 2-month contract onboarding pre-Christmas and running from January to February, to manage 3 virtual conferences. Working alongside a team of ten, this contract role is busy and requires someone to jump straight in. Virtual experience within event organisation is required.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Full virtual event management of three online conferences

- Budget management

- Platform/software management for set events, including setting up the platforms, making any necessary changes, onboarding stakeholders

- Run weekly catch up meetings, ensuring any POA/deadlines are met

- Management of sponsorship deliverables

- Work with various suppliers to produce outstanding online experiences across all set events

- Collaborate with the wider team to ensure all operational aspects of the events are taken care of

- Run the virtual conferences on the day, with support from other team members

- Support other team members with their events on an ad hoc basis

- Complete all post event processes

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

- Virtual events experience

- Meticulous attention to detail

- Able to prioritise effectively and multi-task across a number of tasks and events

- Numerate and commercially aware

- Reliable team player with the ability to work on multiple tasks, and with multiple people, at any given time

- Willing to work unsocial hours as required
