BMA House

Lots of updates to discover at the bnc show

Innovators of sustainable events, BMA House, has lots to talk to you about at April’s BNC Show.

Stop by their stand 199 to find out all about their latest news and updates from their central London home of the British Medical Association.

Spring menus have been launched and promise to be bursting with flavour and colour.

Focusing on sustainability, they incorporate seasonal, local ingredients from a trusted list of quality suppliers.

Also new for 2024 on the catering front include new low-carbon breakfast options using local ‘Future 50’ ingredients, Community Blend coffee that gives back and supports farmers in Peru and items from the ‘London Larder’.

Changes at BMA House keep things fresh and up to date for the sustainability-conscious event manager.

A recent makeover of its Great Hall demonstrated a ‘significant step in BMA House’s ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility’.

Focusing on minimising waste and reducing the impact of the project on the environment, huge challenges were undertaken such as removing the old carpet and repurposing it.

Instead of sending it to landfill carpet tiles were rescued and regenerated into new products.

The historic setting was also given a sensitive modern makeover with a soothing colour scheme, a versatile backdrop, new furniture and carpet – using environmentally friendly suppliers.

Old chairs were donated to the Business2Schools charity initiative, which repurposes office furniture and technology to improve learning environments for children and students in UK state schools.

Kat Winfield, Venue Manager, said that the makeover reflects the venue’s dedication to creating an environmentally responsible, versatile, and elegant space for events of all kinds.

“It exemplifies our ongoing mission to lead by example in sustainable practices within the hospitality and event industry, whilst providing industry leading facilities for our clients.”

Even the activities at BMA House have been given a sustainability shake-up.

Interactive games offered as part of summer parties at BMA House have been crafted under a ‘Fun in the Sun’ theme. Traditional lawn games and exciting new challenges, ice breakers, team building activities are on offer to groups.

Finally, new alcohol-free bars are available in a bid to buck the rising trend in alcohol-free events. Promising to act as ‘ a highlight and not an alternative’ the bars will offer a range of delicious, crafted non-alcoholic beverages.

“At BMA House, we're not just about throwing a party; we're about creating experiences that are memorable, inclusive, and aligned with our sustainable ethos,” said BMA House’s Venue Marketing Manager, Rebecca Hurley.

“Our 'Fun in the Sun' package is a testament to this commitment. Whether it's through our award-winning venue (finalists in the 2023 London Venue & Catering Awards for 'Best Summer Party Venue'), diverse and sustainable food offerings, or our engaging and eco-friendly entertainment options, we ensure every aspect of your summer party is a success.

“Join us in the heart of Bloomsbury this summer for an unforgettable celebration that sets a new standard for corporate summer parties.”
