From salary benchmarks and industry trends to working patterns and career progression insights, the 2025 edition is already receiving 100% positive feedback from readers — many of whom call it their “go-to guide” for salary negotiations, career planning, and professional validation.
“The BNC Salary Survey – always a fascinating read – the only survey true to life and current in the market,” one respondent praised. “Appreciate you going to all the effort for stats analysis and sharing. Must be very labour intensive.”

A Career Compass, Not Just a Report
What sets the BNC Salary Survey apart is its authenticity and precision. With in-house corporate professionals making up 88.4% of respondents — many from associations, charities, and government bodies — the data reflects real working conditions, not inflated figures or agency-heavy statistics.
And while the industry continues to evolve, one thing remains constant: Event Managers trust The BNC to tell to collate essential information containing true market insights.
A summary of some of eye-opening highlights reveal:
Male salaries on average surpass female salaries even in a female-dominated industry – why is this the case?
The highest earners tend to work 50-60 hours per week on average.
There is a trend showing that larger companies (based on the number of employees) tend to have higher average salaries. This could reflect economies of scale, better resource allocation, and increased opportunities for career progression.
Those with good or better promotion prospects tend to have higher salaries on average, highlighting the link between career growth opportunities and compensation.
Access to a mentor is correlated with higher salaries on average, suggesting that guidance and support in career development can lead to greater financial rewards.
The top three incentives when looking for a new role are:

Higher pay
