Eventwide Brings Design-Driven Furniture Hire to London’s Event Scene
The corporate events industry never slows down. For organisers, the pressure to deliver seamless, stylish and sustainable experiences is can be a mixed bag of pressure and intensity. That’s where reliable suppliers can come in to take away some of that stress.
Take Eventwide London for example, a furniture hire specialist with roots in Austria and a growing reputation for operating a high-level service with design-led solutions that make life easier for planners.
"We’ve grown by focusing on furniture that’s flexible, modular and built to last," explains director Christian Weidenholzer who built the 20-year-old company knowing that functionality, reliability and sustainability is at the top of every organiser’s checklist.
Unlike many hire companies, Eventwide designs and builds its own furniture, ensuring control over quality and branding. With warehouses in Vienna, Zurich and London, stock levels and storage are never an issue. “We build our own furniture and control the whole production process and can add in branding colours etc. Storage is not a problem,” he adds.
Sustainability has become a buzzword in events, but Eventwide appears to take it seriously. The company is Green Events Certified, with a model built on durable production and smart logistics aimed at reducing waste.
Eventwide has developed a model that minimises waste. Their furniture is built with interchangeable and customisable parts: table tops, bases, stools and padding can be swapped out to create new looks without producing new products.
“Changing table tops is a very sustainable approach to event equipment, and we have a very efficient way of storing it and delivering it," he continues. “With this type of furniture it is very modular — stools can also have different padding, different backrests, for example.”
Eventwide’s catalogue reads less like a rental stocklist and more like a designer’s toolkit. The company offers everything from modular bars and dining sets to sleek stools and lounge seating, all crafted with a clean, contemporary aesthetic. Organisers are encouraged to mix and match, shaping the environment rather than settling for off-the-shelf solutions.
Big conferences and trade shows live or die on logistics, and furniture is no exception. A shortfall of chairs or delays in delivery can be catastrophic. Eventwide has built its reputation on supplying large volumes cleverly and efficiently.
Anyone who has staged an event in London’s landmark spaces, for instance, knows that time is tight. Venues such as public museums are open to visitors during the day, which makes swift set-ups essential.
“If you have an event at an historic venue in London such as the Natural History Museum, set-up needs to be fast as the venue is open to the public in the day. We wheel it in and set it up — that’s what’s key in those venues,” he notes.
And for repeat events that need something new and different each time? “We can add versatility to your event too, so if you’ve gone ‘all black’ one year it can be a different colour, say, white, for the next,” Christian reassures. “If you like the furniture it makes sense to stick with it, but we can change it up. You can have different sized tables as well — you just change the base. It’s all purpose built.”
Operating out of East London, the company is strategically placed to cover events across the capital and beyond. With its scale, design-led ethos and commitment to sustainability, Eventwide is positioning itself as a go-to partner for organisers who want to elevate the experience without adding unnecessary risk.
It’s a busy season right now for Eventwide, with Christian noticing trends for standing receptions – in a similar style to The BNC Show! Come and chat through your furniture needs with Eventwide on Stand 103 at The BNC Show on 14th October at Mansion House, London.
