BNC Show moves to mansion house for october 2024

BNC Show directors Alec Mumford and Kim Paulden today announce a brand new venue for the 2024 autumn BNC Show.

New to The BNC portfolio of recommended suppliers Mansion House, is the 18th Century home and office of The Lord Mayor of the City of London.

Steeped in history but representative of modern day business, the Grade I listed building is rich in appeal and stature making it the perfect venue to host a high profile exhibition for the dynamic events community.

Mansion House was built in 1739 and since its completion has hosted political summits, white tie balls and dinners and celebratory multicultural events on the world stage.

It has layers of rooms that are used separately for offices, a residence, art galleries and collections and impressive event spaces suitable for 10 to 500 guests (seated).

Its mixed appeal of history, culture and politics combined with a city centre location suits the growing demands of The BNC Show which aims to provide informative and inspiring networking exhibitions in the heart of London.

Taking place on Tuesday, 15th October, The BNC Show will take centre stage in the glorious Egyptian Hall, a unique room unparalleled in the city for impact, light and space.

The BNC’s trademark blend of buyer-led discussion panels, presentations and educational campfires will take place in the Long Parlour.

Already on the ball, the catering team at Mansion House are preparing to cook-up The BNC’s signature offering of all-day food and refreshments.

Menus of hearty and healthy breakfasts, indulgent elevenses, a seven-bowl selection of mouthwatering lunches and afternoon tea are already being planned. Plus on the day, the events staff will be on hand to show people around a building that is generally not open to the public.

Harriet Crowther, Commercial Events Manager at Mansion House, said:

“We are delighted that The BNC have selected Mansion House as the venue of choice for next year’s exhibition and hopefully the future years. We are so looking forward to welcoming the events industry to Lord Mayor’s home.”

BNC Directors Alec Mumford and Kim Paulden agree that the new venue will inspire exhibitors to take part and allow buyers, with the ease of access to join them for a few hours or an entire day of networking, learning, discovery and fun.

Alec Mumford says:

“Choosing Mansion House, a Grade I listed building in the heart of the City of London for the BNC Show next autumn seems like the natural progression, as this popular event industry exhibition expands, its central location near Bank tube is easy to get to for busy corporate event planners and the additional exhibition space which the venue has to offer makes it a perfect location from managing the logistics to the expected increased buyer attendance.

“The opulent surroundings, high ceilings and beautiful stained glass windows of the Egyptian Hall within this Palladian style building, home of the Lord Mayor, makes for a most conducive and uplifting environment, which will in turn create an excellent networking atmosphere for all.

“As this show will be extremely popular we will be inviting previous loyal BNC exhibitors to submit their stand applications shortly!”

Kim Paulden adds:

“I am absolutely delighted that our October BNC Show in 2024 will be at the iconic city venue, Mansion House.

“It is truly a quality venue for us to showcase the best suppliers to the top event buyers in the UK.”
