Strand Palace Unveils New Spaces Following £55 Million Refurbishment
Strand Palace, the landmark hotel in the heart of Covent Garden and part of the L+R Hotels portfolio, is entering a new era with the launch of its £2 million Meetings & Events refurbishment, marking the latest milestone in the property’s ongoing £55 million transformation.
Officially launching on 10 November 2025, the new facilities strengthen Strand Palace’s position as a leading London destination for both business and leisure.
The investment adds 12 brand-new meeting and event spaces, bringing the total to 16, and expands the hotel’s MICE offering with enhanced flexibility, technology and style.
The new spaces build on the success of the hotel’s previous refurbishment phase in 2020, which saw the complete redesign of all 788 guest rooms, public areas, and its historic Art Deco façade.
The interiors blend Strand Palace’s 115-year heritage with contemporary elegance, creating environments that are both timeless and highly functional for modern event needs.
Each new meeting and event space incorporates state-of-the-art AV technology, a dedicated support team, and bespoke catering options designed to elevate the delegate experience. From intimate boardrooms to larger conference settings, the spaces cater to a wide range of business events and private functions.
“Our goal was to honour Strand Palace’s heritage while redefining it for today’s guest,” said Matthew Beard, Managing Director of Strand Palace. “The launch of our 12 new spaces offers our corporate and leisure guests the best possible experience for their events right here in the heart of London.”
The completion of this latest phase cements Strand Palace’s transformation into a versatile, design-led events destination within the L+R Hotels global portfolio, ready to welcome the next generation of business and leisure travellers.
